We have all been there at one time or another… Your heart starts to beat really fast as if you were running the last leg of a marathon. You can feel the blood rushing from your face and your skin beginning to pale while your thoughts become lost in a cloud of confusion. Breathing seems to then cease and your legs become stiff as stone, unable to move… This is Fear.

While walking along the path, on your journey of life, we often come across many roadblocks that stand in our way, preventing us from reaching our goals or our desired destinations. Sometimes these barriers take the form of negative self-talk or limiting beliefs, blocking our view of the future. What do we do when this happens? We create a new roadmap and design ways to climb over or walk around those barriers. But what do you do when you have been frozen in place by fear, unable to move, to follow your roadmap for life?

The subconscious mind is very powerful and controls your self-preservation. All of your emotions, memories, and natural functions are stored and controlled by your subconscious mind. Fear is a basic survival mechanism of the subconscious mind that’s a response to danger or threat of danger that is immediate and real. Fear positions you to protect yourself in two different ways, to face the danger or flee from the danger. However, far too often people find themselves unable to react when faced with fear causing problems with their health, happiness, self-worth, and inner peace.

You can beat fear and its effects on your life simply by retraining your brain and your reaction. Here are three valuable steps that can be used to release fear and clear your path in life.

1. Learn to relax with self-hypnosis.
One of the most important things to remember when faced with fear is to have a clear mind so that you can react appropriately. You can easily clear away the cloud of confusion by learning relaxation techniques and self-hypnosis.

2. Breathe in clarity.
The brain uses about 25% of the body’s oxygen, and it does not get enough if you breathing short and shallow breaths. When you disconnect from your breath, you prevent flow, you get lost, and any attempts at relaxation are thwarted.

3. Blow fear away.
Once you have relaxed and are in control of your breathing you will be able to blow your fears away by using a powerful visualization technique. While breathing slowly and deeply, visualize the thing, event, or person that is at the center of your fear. See it, hear it, feel it, and smell it… Then shrink it. Shrink the picture in your mind until it is so small, it fits in the palm of your hand. Once there, Blow it once with a strong breath of air, sending it off into oblivion, never to return.

By using this wonderful technique you will be able to remove this roadblock from your journey of life and continue your path. No matter where the fear stems from, whether it be from a major illness or any other area in life, you HAVE the power to take back control of this area of your life that has been out of control for far too long.
